Day 6: Top seed Kontaveit edges past Havlickova to reach quarterfinals. Noskova stuns Cornet!

The WTA tournament Livesport Prague Open continued with its sixth game day. Number one seed Anett Kontaveit from Estonia won her match against Czech teen Lucie Havlickova in straight sets. Seventh seed Anastasia Potapova also advanced to quarterfinals. Defending champion Barbora Krejcikova surprisingly lost to Japanese lucky loser Nao Hibino. Home wild card Linda Noskova scored a huge win against an experienced French Alizé Cornet. Andrea Sestini Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka played their final match as a team, as Sestini Hlavackova said farewell to her tennis career.

Anett Kontaveit confirmed the role of the favourite in the duel with the home player Lucie Havlickova. The first seed won in two sets, although it was not an easy match.

"I expected a tough match, Lucie won one match here, she won the junior at Roland Garros... Of course I'm happy for the win, but I could have done better today," Kontaveit said.
